"One day he will be healed"

"It was so scary. We were on vacation in south america when it happened. We were just about to take a ferry ride when he collapsed right on the street and wouldn’t wake up. Later in the hospital we found out he had a stroke and that he could be unconscious for weeks. It was one of the worst moments of my life. I mean, there I was, in a foreign country with a husband in a coma. Luckily he woke up but that was not the hard part. First we had to get back to Sweden without him having another stroke. We called for a special plane with nurses which worked and now we’re back home but it is almost worse here. He lies in our couch all day and gets reminded about all the things he no longer can do. When we are at our cabin for an example, he can’t build things and use his machines like he used to and that makes him very sad. It makes me sad too because he used to have so much energy but now all he does is watch TV. I feel very lonely everyday but every now and then my grandchildren come and visit me. I love them all so much and they have been through alot but still care about my wellbeing. It easy to focus on the negative but I have chosen to focus on the positive in my life. I have wonderful grandchildren and a son and my husband will get better. He regains energy everyday and he barely has seizures anymore. One day he will be healed and we will look back at this time and wonder what we worried about."
